Official 2013 Starwood Category Changes

Via Milepoint - A starwood representative alerted this blogger about the changes that will be occuring on March 5, 2013 to the Starwood Preferred Guest program.

Here is a PDF from The Points Guy of the changes to come. Looks like the categories will stay the same but some hotels will be moving up or down in category, more up than down.

It also looks like there will be changes coming to the cash & points rewards. Also via The Points Guy. 

If you know you will be traveling soon and want to use starwood points, check to see if the hotel you planned on booking will go up in points. If so, book before March 5, 2013 to maximize your points value.
